- Gail A. Papay M.Ed., LPCC is an independently licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who embraces the opportunity to empower clients to resolve their problems and strive to reach their potential. She has experience with severe mental health issues in residential treatment and experience in private practice working with individuals, couples, and groups. Gail addresses client concerns relative to grief, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, stress tolerance, chronic pain management, difficult relationships, self-esteem, parenting challenges, aging issues, military issues, and trauma for which desensitization techniques are applied. Gail’s focused attention to individual client needs is achieved by utilizing a range of techniques from various evidence-based therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Behavior (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior (REBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-focused (SFBT), Person-centered (CPT), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), and relaxation techniques. Gail earned her Bachelor’s degree from Hiram College and her Masters of Education in Community Counseling from Kent State University. She holds several professional affiliations.
